VIENNA, Austria, 24 March 2017 - The World Small Hydropower Development Report 2016, co-published by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) and the International Center on Small Hydro Power (ICSHP) will be launched during the Vienna Energy Forum 2017 in Vienna on 11-12 May 2017.
The World Small Hydropower Development Report 2016 (WSHPDR 2016), which comprises 160 national chapters and 20 regional chapters is the grand effort contributed by over 230 experts and scholars from governmental institutions, research institutes, universities and colleges, as well as hydropower companies.
The Vienna Energy Forum (VEF) is organized by UNIDO’s Department of Energy biannually. As with the last editions of VEF, the event will witness attendance of governmental ministers, high level officials, keynote speakers and participants around the world.
The launch will also reveal four other language versions – French, Spanish, Chinese and Russian - to the existing Executive Summary of WSHPDR 2016 in English. In addition, participants will showcase the printed copy of this voluminous Report, a total of 650 pages.
